Sooo we are sitting around the house mid-September and going stir crazy by the fact that summer is over. Halloween decorations are going up, kids are back in school, and just like that… we realized that we had not taken advantage of the warm summer sun. So we throw out the idea of traveling somewhere close and to a country that implements strong covid guidelines. And next thing you know, we are a week away from Aruba!

Then it dawns on me… I have nothing to wear and do not want to go out shopping days before our big trip to avoid any additional exposure than need be. Which means that we have to shop safely from the comfort of our home and hope everything works out (since I knew that my boyfriend would be creating a travel video- be sure to check it out here)

So I looked in my closet and jumped online to see what I could quickly and affordably order for this last minute vacay! Which pretty much left me with a lot of time on Amazon- thanks to Prime shipping. I also like to buy “cheap” jewelry when I travel so that I am not worried if something gets lost or damaged in the water. Below are a few good options.

Outfit Details:

  • Earrings: Gold 30 millimeter from Amazon

  • Necklace: Three layered gold coin necklaces from Amazon

  • Simple black triangle bikini top: (wish I had ordered more in different colors!) from Amazon

  • Black tie coverup skirt: Amazon

  • Cheetah print bikini bottom from Pac Sun: (I got in on sale for $10.99 but it is now sold out) Here is a similar pair

  • Purse: I found this purse for $4(!!!) at TJ Maxx and added a cute scarf from Amazon to dress it up. Here is a similar bag!

  • Sandals: are from Target in black and only $20!

  • Hat: My favorite purchase from the entire trip was this hat- as seen in almost every photo. From Lulus that I absolutely adored!

The pictured white Lulus off-the-shoulder crop top can be found here. I ordered a small and it fit perfectly. I paired it with the same hat mentioned above and a pair of loose beach pants that I found at the end of the season for about $10 at Target…

I tried to buy outfits that would easily mix and match- so a lot of neutral colors. With that in mind, I got a simple but cute one shoulder top from Asos ($8) and found the shorts on sale at Target for about $5. I rolled them up for a shorter look and if I had more time, would have frayed the ends. The hoop earrings can be found here. I took the scarf that was on my bag and used it in my hair to add a bit of color to the outfit.

I adored this swimsuit but a large was the only size available online. Since it was so cheap, I decided to just make it work. The hot pink bikini is from Pac Sun but unfortunately sold out. Here is a similar bikini set. For a swimsuit coverup, I ord…
