Jacklyn’s Bachelorette Trip in Austin, TX!

Yasmeen, Jacklyn, Maya, and Leena. In life, sometimes we are blessed to have wonderful people that we get to call family. Fortunately, I have 6 siblings and they are married to amazing people who have become my sisters/brothers. The bond I have with my sisters (Hanna and Maya) and sister in laws (Yasmeen and Jacklyn) are so strong that we were so excited to get together and celebrate Jacklyn! The bride is marrying our younger brother, Mo, and we could not be more excited to welcome her into the family. In my typical planning style, I arranged this trip a week before we went… oops! But due to conflicting schedules, that is kind of how our lives operate right now. See we all live in different parts of the US- Corpus Christi, Nashville, Dallas, and Raleigh. I wanted to make sure our sister felt loved and spoiled so here is how the weekend went down!

We wanted to make sure there was a fun, bridal aspect to the weekend so custom items are listed below!

I truly don’t think you can have a bad time in Austin. The motto is to “Keep Austin Weird” and that is for great reason! The city is so hip, friendly, and upcoming that surely everyone in your group will find something fun to do. Since most of my family now lives in Texas, we have been to Austin on multiple occasions and always find new sites around the city. Whether it is your first or 20th time to A town, there is more to explore!Where to stayWe stayed at the Hilton Austin which is located downtown by 6th Street- a popular entertainment district in the city. The views, location, and Starbucks inside the hotel were enough for me to book our stay! I would recommend hotels downtown, in South Congress such as Hotel San Jose or a private Airbnb. If you want to stay a little outside of the city, hotels near The Domain (a popular shopping center) has great choices with proximity to other sites in the city.

What to doYou can’t be bored here and honestly a weekend isn’t enough! A few top Austin spots to check out:Shopping, murals, and dining on South Congress Street. Such as the famous “I love you so much” mural on the side of Jo’s Coffee- pictured above.Paddle board or Kayak on Lady Bird Lake. I would have to say that this is my favorite thing to do in Austin since it is in the city and the views are out of this world buttt I know that not everyone is into water sports. If you’re anything like me…. give it a try or walk by the bridge overlooking the Lake! Rooftop! I am from Nashville so of course, rooftops are just a must on any trip. We enjoyed Azul Rooftop at the Westin Hotel and P6 at the Line Hotel. Food trucks and live music on Rainey Street. We enjoyed Asador Tacos and Little Lucys mini donuts!Manicure and Pedicures at Queen Spa or Cute Nail Studio for a colorful and unique nail experience!Wonderspaces Museum- an interactive Museum with amazing art pieces for your photo opt dreams!
